I jam in moderation. I keep it pretty calm on a daily basis, and every once in while I will open it up and satisfy the need.
Same here, just play it at normal levels 99% of the time and usually Friday on the way home from work I punish my ears //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif And I'm crusing down the highway, so no one else has to hear it.

I could give a F U C K about other people hearing it as I built it to impress ME!!!!!

We'll see how the results end up.
I'm sure a lot of us on this forum would like our system to be able to bump loud enough outside of the car so that we can show it off when we want to rather then just being loud inside the car and go death. Even with the competitors who like to score high on the TL with 150DB+, I'm sure yah like it if you can be heard outside of the car and still be loud inside the car.
I know I'm probably late, but to grandma / soccer mom, 135 dB is the same as 160 dB.

Curiously, I'd bet that the 135 would be worse because anyone who can hit and knows they are hitting 160 probably has some pretty extensive deadening going on, OR, some way to keep most of the sound in the car anyway. A high schooler with 2 12s in the back of his civic rattling around every where would probably be more annoying.

Exaggeration to make a point //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I don't know of too many 160 DD's out there... maybe tommy mckinnie. I know his will drive, but I don't know if it would be able to drive on a highway/in traffic.

See, now you're getting all fancy on me. I can't keep up with this shit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

x2, in a way that how its always been for me.

I use to want to impress people down the block in my younger days, but at some point we all grow up a lil bit. Some of us are just late bloomers........

When I lived in NY, it was cool to be heard from a couple blocks away, and, when I finally got my own car around 17 years old, that was my goal too.

After about a year of that, some older car audio shop guy told me that it was much cooler for your stuff to sound good IN the car vs being heard from blocks away.

He basicaly asked me, "did you put this stuff in so everyone else can hear it, or because YOU want to hear it"

That made sense to me, so, st his recommendation, I sound deaded my whole car, not only did it sond better inside the car, it sounded better outside as well (when I rolled the windows down) because my car was not rattling like an aluminum trash can.

Now that I am much older, I like to keep my sounds inside my car as they are not meant for the outside world.

If you want to show off, pull into a parking lot and let folks get inside your car and then show them what it do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I just like a nice sounding stereo, if people can hear it outside my car so be it....but I definitely don't turn it up to get attention....
