When I was 16 and 17 I thought it was cool trying to get *****es to turn their head as I drove by them but honestly you are at an age where you should have learned better by now. At 16 you are looked as as just a kid trying to be different and get attention for yourself but at 26 your just looked at considered a asshole //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I was limited to how much space I can upload to the free servers.
Why are you dissing the free music? All I am doing is contributing the music I have so others on here can take a listen and use it for their systems.

I think it's because my first poll answer is not worded correctly.

Most of the people who chose the second answer probably think interpreted the first answer having speakers installed outside of the car?
People would rather accept the popular opinion that "having a system and playing it loud is for idiots" rather than admit that they think having a loud vehicle is cool.

I believe it is fairly accurate to say that 90% of car audio enthusiasts started this hobby to have a loud daily system. If we didn't think it was cool or enjoyable, we wouldn't be doing it.

ill somewhat agree with this

i dont like my system to be loud from the outside, however

if i wanted to show off to someone, ill either let them sit in my truck or have em come stand by a window or something.

I've never had the desire to have my truck literally just be loud from the outside.

I think I should have my the poll like this:

When I got my first system...

1) My first car audio system was for me to enjoy bass music and not to show off.

2) My first car audio system was to impress/show off and also because I liked bass music.

Which is entirely true. However, making honest people's cars shake and annoy them because they can't hear their kids talk about their day at school is NOT cool.

I don't mind showing it off here and there. For the people who are flaming this guy.. I look at your setups.. seriously.. is 145 db inside the car really what you like listening your music to.. one 12" is enough bump for anyone. If you have 4 15".. you can't possibly tell me that you just want it loud in the car..

Not only do you want to piss everyone around you off, you fail at making polls. Come on man, you're 26? Get over this shit and learn to enjoy your music to yourself and not want to be heard blocks away like you're 16.
You don't even have to guess my answer choice.
Thats not fair. Im 16 and have a loud stereo and I turn it down in residentals and when I come into town. Most of my driving is on country backroads or the highway. Infact I hate being hear from blocks away.

Exactly. Initially I thought it was cool to turn heads but I would rather have someone be impressed by sitting in my vehicle rather than hearing me drive by annoying people.

I'm not 26. I'm actually 21. I usually make up random birthrates when I sign-up on a forum.

However, I don't think it matters what age you are when you are purchasing your first system. I'm sure the majority of us got into car audio was to show off and eventually grow out of it. You were 16 when you got your first system and your intentions was to be loud. Someone could be at the age of 30 when they get their first system for the same reason because maybe they never had the money when they were younger.

I apologize then, 16 sounds good when compared to 26. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Word. That's exactly what my poll should have been.

And most importantly moh, think about this. The further away and easier people can hear you from the outside means the more people can will think about stealing your stereo. By doing this, you're inviting people to jack your setup. And believe me, it's extremely common.

theres been times where im stopped at a stoplight for a few seconds before i realize my music is still cranked and i can see people shaking their heads.
And i dont even get an ego boost from it. i FEEL like a douchebag lol.

I dont know how you people who "wanna be hurd yo" get kicks outta that kind of thing lol.
thats because the people that really are douchebags think they are shakin their heads thinking "man ill never be as cool as that guy, HES AWESOME!!!!!" HA HA

welll since im inside my car.. i want it loud in the car... but as far as being loud outside..... just gotta roll dem winder's down...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
