And your head unit the EQ was flat and you found where it clips at and didn't turn it up past that point?

sub level up max on the head unit, volume 80%. Bass EQ and bass settings at zero. Loudness off. Low pass at 80hz.

Set the gain on the sub amp again using the multi-meter method that i linked several pages ago.

Your box is a ****** prefab bandpass box, it's not a ported box.

Clipping the signal most likely cause

Woofer not being well controlled from a poor leaky box

Amp could be damaged

I'm betting that prefab bandpass box is tuned high on the ported side in the 50's to make junk woofers louder and without the plexi to control cone on the sealed side its free airing 50 and below

Lol. This post has had me pissing my self. Either this guys is trolling and doing a real good job at it. Or hes just not understanding.

My advice is, sell the rest of your equipment. Start from fresh. Get a good head unit (HU), a good amp wiring kit, buy or get a ported enclosure made for a better sub, get a better amp than u bought, and then you can start enjoying some bass.

If you cant follow these steps then theres not much point in asking if ur not willing to let go of ur junk.
