Yeah I read about the burn in but it didn't seem to be a huge problem. Good to know.Plasma's in the past have had a huge burn-in problem. If you continuously watch the same channel (ie: ABC), eventually no matter what you watch or view, you will still see somewhat of a symbol from the previous channel(s). Plasmas also are terrible in well lit areas. The front of a plasma is just one piece of glass, that reflects all images and light right back at you. Plasmas also cannot be fixed if they burn out. Their is no way to refill the gas in them.
They are nice to have, and normally presents a more 3-D view than LCD. I personally would only stick to LCD, but to each his own.
this right here shows your ignoranceFor sure, stay away from Plasma. DLP's aint much better.Get an LCD and call it a day. Or, you could always get one of those fancy shmancy projectors with all the bells and whistles, loud noisy cooling fans and make shadow puppets with your homies when you invite them over.
Oh, before I forget...

fact? you are still glossing over the fact that dlp has the best picAhh, yes. Lets talk viewing angle. Go to a store like BB or Circuit City and take a look at the tv's from a distance and angle. Let me know what you see, or do not see, I should say. Unless you are in front of the TV you will see a haze over the displayed image. Also, what will happen if the power goes out unexpectedly on a DLP and the bulb doesn't cool properly? Them bulbs aren't cheap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Lets give advice based on fact not just color quality.
This seems to be the catch 22...from what I've read(not much) it seems like plasma generally has the best /brighest picture but it also is very fragile and can't be repaired if broken...and the dlp bulb cooling thing doesn't sound much better...so what are the drawbacks of lcd?fact? you are still glossing over the fact that dlp has the best piccontinue your idiocy now
