Hi,
I'm not a radio guy, but handy with mechanics. I have replaced radios before.
In this case I Have a 2004 Explorer Sport Trac that came used with a Pioneer DEH-P6000UB.
Recently the front display went out (except when the front face opened and went horizontal - weird).
Yesterday the radio quit working entirely. I pulled it and there is power getting to the connector at the radio and the on-board fuse is good. So I figure I should just replace the unit. I'm going to get a cheaper unit if possible. All I use it for is the aux for my Sirius radio, and sometimes plug in a thumb drive with mp3's.
My question is, will another (low-end) Pioneer likely have the same connector/adaptor? I'd love to just plug and play, and with one adaptor on there already I'm a little a-feared about the wiring becoming challenging.
The pic is the existing unit.
Probably an easy question for you guys.
Thanks in advance for any help in deciding on a new radio, too.
