Pics of the NEW system .........Pioneer.....RE.....Diamond......Infinity......Dynamat

you must not like your amp very much and want to spend money on another one soon. mounting directly to the box is a no-no. amps were not designed to deal with the vibration that it will endure with your mounting system.

ya, i have always mounted my amp on the box with no problems, maybe if it was a cheap box or i had another 12 it would matter but i think im fine with it being mounted on the back of the box

I just noticed that the surround and cone are also slightly different than the old SEs. It looks more robust.

I wish that RE lowered the prices with the new changes. I KNOW they dont cost more to make now.......

where do you recommend that i mount it then?

anywhere other than on the box. you can mount it on a piece of mdf attached to the floor or the back of the seats if you are short on space, just not directly to the box.

Its fine dude, dont listen to him. Go to a local spl comp and tell me how many competitors have the amps mounted on the box............

Kevin

ahhh, another know it all who knows nothing. there is a right way to do things and a wrong way. just because someone else does it one way does not mean it is right. amplifiers are highly sensitive electrical components that are designed to do a specific function. there is not an amp in the world that was designed to take the abuse of the vibrations encountered from mounting to a sub box.
