x2 only time i ever that a problem like that was when i was hooking a hu up in dodge ram and didnt hook the remote wire up thinking it didnt have an amp. try the other one out. it could be a switch or something stupid like that, did you try hitting the crossover. sounds stupid but works sometimes.

You sure you have the crossover wired correctly? I didn't have my xovers set to bi-amp and it took me awhile to catch it.

You can throw all the hatred in the world towards the rsds, but I have my doubts that you have heard a set Reguradless of brands, rainbow, ect, they all have problems. I would most attribute this to not buying authorized in the first place though. Many internet companies will sale refurbished units, and more than likely, it wasnt refurbished from pg to begin with.. In all, do not trust these ebay companies. Goodluck with the crossovers, as Ive never heard of anything like this happening with them.

I've priced enough crossover designs to know that good passive crossovers cost money, even with what PG's getting parts for they aren't free. At some price point, you're going to have to start making pretty severe compromises in the design in order to fit under that price.

It's an entry-level line. Nothing more, nothing less. What annoys me is when people assume they're getting Dynaudio quality for Boss prices.

I see where you are coming from, and I agree, they should not be put as highend.. The are actually a middle of the road line. Not entry level, but certainly not pgs highest end offering, which they will hopefully offer one soon.. I will say this though, after owning several higher end comps like the pg elites/ morel elates, they suprised the hell out of me. I am still trying to figure out how they go so cheap. They definately dont have the total midrange offering that the sets i mentioned do, but the midbass is some of the best ive heard in terms of output. Apparently pg makes a 4inch rsd weezer cone that is very rare, that has a near flat response... That would make for a killer 3way active setup with the 6.5inch mids, if you could get your hands on one... One other thing, not buying authorized has its risks, as ive never heard of any crossover problems, or had any.. For 80 bucksfor so, I see no reason why you havent tried out a set just for the hell of it. If you havent heard the rsd subs, I would advise you to do so aswell.. I dont personally own them, because they simply dont fit my neads, but for some sq lovers, they are nice.. I myself am trying to get a few ti 12d elite subs...
