That's a nice makita drill you got there.

LOL, for graduation my mom wanted to get me a nice tool that would last me a long time, something I would use quite a bit...and the budget was $300. I saw that Makita and had to have it. GREAT drill, tons of power and it weighs next to nothing.

i could see one maybe being bad but i just doubt both are. if you get to the other one and have the same problem them you might have another bigger problem.

Yeah like I said I didn't get to test the other one, I plan on doing so tomorrow. Idk why I said they were both bad in my initial post..

yea, i was gonna get the makita li ion drill, but it was a little more than i wanted to spend, i ended up with a hitachi Li ION 14.4 v drill, i wanted something really light and good quality, i need a small drill for work but some power too, and hitachi was too good of a deal to pass up

You know that's what I'm wondering...either they got a bad batch of Xovers, or PG is giving them refurbed sh!t.
