Switching amps, which one?

So right now i am running a cadence txa-1000d, says 1000 watt rms at 1 ohm which is unlikely. I am thinking about getting rid of it and replacing it with another 1000 watt or maybe even more rms amp. Try to keep it under $500. I did a little research and saw the alpine pdx-1.1000 and with that i would get a clean 1000 watt rms off of a good 4 ohm impedance. Also am checking out the JL 1000/1. You guys have any other suggestion that does a minimal of 1000 watts rms for under $500?

wire your subs to 1 ohm and get with the kicker zx 1000.1 or a memphis 1000d. either way you cant go wrong. dont spend anymore than what these amps cost unless you want to get a zapco, arc, audison, mcintosh, or something really fancy.

could also try the new audioque amp while it's on presale, or an ed nine.1. or even a sundown 1500d would be under your budget and would power a pair of type r's nicely.

Why waste more money on another amp as that cadence will do 1000 all day, what makes you think it won't?

well i know it will do it daily its just that i am looking to upgrade my amp for more power or atleast 4 ohm impedance. I was considering just buying another txa-1000d but will i blow the r's if i give 'em 1000 watts rms each?

What is the problem at 1 ohm?1000 at 4 ohms will sound the same as 1000 at 1 ohm, putting an extra 2 to 300 watts to the subs won't make them sound any different

Ialso have reason to believe you are running stock for the front stage(your sig says so)forget that amp talk and get a properly powered front stage
