Gahhhhhh spent all day putting in and wiring up my Rsd comps that came yesterday, only to find out that my Xovers were bad (Not sure on the other one right now). I contacted Audiosavings.com telling them what was going on, and they are suppose to email me with warrenty information. I'm sure this will be tons of fun. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

Hey, it happens. Thanks to Nismos14 for all the help today, he helped me trouble shoot all this crap, and we both came to the conclusion the Xovers are faulty. Well here are some pics of what I did get done....enjoy.

Also, I went to Michaels and picked up some NON HARDENING modeling clay, and it ended up getting rock hard and I had to chip it off the door about an hour after I put it on. So now I'm going up there tomorrow and returning that shit.

nismos, explain how y'all came ot the conclusion its the xovers.... goat doesnt wanna explain lol.
what are (or arent) the comps doing?

Wtf, I'll explain.

Hooked everything up, had all the wiring properly labeled, tweeters, mids, inputs, etc.

Hooked everything up, and turned on the radio to test them out (driver side only was hooked up).

Only the tweeters would play very, very low, even at max volume. Hmmm ok, nothing coming from the mids, w/e. Maybe my wiring is mixed up? Rip out the seat again, and check all the wiring, make sure everything is fine.

Same thing happened, so I IM nismos and he tells me to bypass the Xovers, and hook up the input to the woofer lead and see what happens. Well, the woofer now plays music. Hmmm, ok?

I hit him up again, so he tells me to do the same thing, but with the tweeter. Ok, no problem. I bypass the Xover, and hook up the tweeter lead directly to the input lead from the amp, and tada the tweeters play at a loudness they should, although sound like *** because they are getting frequencies sent to them that aren't supposed to (no Xover hooked up).

So basically when the Xover is hooked up I only get music from the tweeters, albiet at a VERY low volume, even with the volume turned all the way up, and nothing comes from the woofer.

Nah mean?
