Orion 8004 questions

I am attempting to peice together a system and recently purchases Orion 8004 amp. I am relatively new in the car audio scene and have a stupid question to ask. A sticker on my amp reads 1600 watts, however, the amp is rated 4x100@4ohms , 4x200@2ohms and 2x400@2ohms. How does this amp produce 1600 watts?

Second question: I will be running set of components with the front to channels and would like to bridge the last two channels at 2ohms and get 400watts to a single woofer(probably rl-i). How conservative is the 400watts they rate there sub at?

Thanks

Beasy

"1600 max power"

ahhh, makes sense.. Max power means little to nothing though, correct? I suppose it good for marketing!

Thanks for the response

Most amp companies list both max which is if lightning strikes. And rms specs onyl pay direct attention to rms ratings if you thought it pushed 1600 you should've read closer...

Nope, I was very aware that the amp did not run at 1600 watts rms, was just curious why the sticker said 1600 watts when max power does not mean anything..
