Hey all I'm new here, I'm going to be building a box and installing soon, do you think the build will be able to flex my SUV at all? Not planning to sound proof, maybe later.

Specs:

-Alpine PDX-F4 - 4x100rms 4 channel

-MRX M110 - 1100 rms

-Alpine SPR 60C/SPR60 - 110rmsx4

-Alpine SWR 10D4 - 500rms x2

Box Specs:

-Downfire Position

-Box Freq. / Volume - 32 / 1.75

Loud? Yea. Flex? nah, not even close.

But it up to 12's or 15's. Build it from 11 or 13 (NOT 7 or 9) ply baltic birch for MUCH less weight. Youll get louder on less power and have a ton more cone area.

I had a 08 escape with a few different boxes. My 21 DP would flex the roof and hatch pretty bad.

Thanks for the input guys. I would have went with a 1 15" build but need to have the rear half trunk for work equipment.

Nah got a little extra on tax return, my last system included a 1 12" type r but on a weak alpine amp. It was actually pretty awesome in my first car - 02' 4 door Pontiac sunfire.

I drive around 40,000 miles for work a year. I get to claim .19 cents (before tax) per mile because reimbursed under state minimum. So that's why mine was a bit more, wasn't by much.

Yeah I was thinking that, that's why I'm here so I'm not expecting something unreasonable. Obviously I know there isn't going to be crazy flexing but I'd be happy with just a bit.

If i was you. Id return it all and then consult us on your budget.

If thats not an option...

Design and build a box using an aero port. Find your cabin resonate frequency. Have one aero port you can put in for 32 hz daily music. Have another aero port that will tune your box to whatever your resonant freq is and find music with that freq as its main bass line. Youll net a 3-7 db gain at that freq. Itll sound like *** but be loud as ****. That is how youll get the loudest with your current gear.
