Opinions on Ultimate T3 500D?

I found a site that is selling the Ultimate T3 500D amp, NIB, for $110+ shipping. It claims to put out 1x900W RMS at 2 Ohms.
Any opinions on Ultimate's products?

It seems like a great deal. If it is a quality brand...
What website??? ooooo I want like 4...lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Oh yeah, here are the specs. Is the THD and Signal-to-Noise ratio okay?

Continuous Bridged Power:

500w x 1 @ 4 ohms

900w x 1 @ 2 ohms

Maximum Bridged Power:

1000w x 1 @ 4 ohms

1800w x 1 @ 2 ohms

Frequency Response: 20 - 200 Hz

THD: 0.12%

Signal to Noise Ratio: 90db

Remote Volume Control Option: Yes

Damping Factor: 230 @ 4 ohms

Dimensions: 28cm x 50cm x 6cm

The peak rating is probably just a bit over what you will get RMS.

Very underated amps.

They look awesome aside from the cheepy looking center logo.

ultimate sound is a canadian compagnie that has their amplifiers built over seas. Apparently at the same plant as kicker.

What you are saying:

They will do over 900W continuous output, or less?

Well...

I'm getting a bit concerned now. There are very few reviews that I can find about this product.

Yikes!!

I'm going to run out and get these bench-tested as soon as I get them and post the results.

Here's to hoping that everything turns out okay.

i had an ultimate amp once, dont remember the model # know it had 1300 in it though. bought it used never even got the specs on it but it was a very impressive amp. couldnt tell you the specs on it or what it retailed for but i bought it used for cheap and ran it pretty hard even at 1 ohm. i put up a 143.7db at my first comp in an IASCA stock class on the audiocontrol mic, was running at 2 ohms then. not a major score or anything but i was impressed with the amp. let me know how you like yours

Where are you guys getting this info? I used to sell this stuff. Its overrated and kinda mid line stuff at best. Its a company based out of california and the 1300 you were refering to was probally the ta1300. Not nessasarily bad stuff, and for the price you paid its a good deal, but its not on the same level as kicker alpine mtx etc. Its a ***** line that retailers like because the MSRP on it is like 70-75 points. 500 dollar amps with a cost in the area of 170 bucks.

Are you sure it's the same compagnie?

I agree it's a low end line, the price says that, but according to bench tests, they put out lots of power.

**edit**

I looked at some of their discontinued lines and the address has defenetly changed. So something happened to them heh. I got this info from PASMAG who did some becnhing of the t31000d. And from others who have gotten some good results with them.

It's definitely a Canadian company. I called their headquarters directly and they answer the phone in French. They speak English, too, though, which is great because I don't speak French. Maybe I should learn...

Anyway, they also state their company is Ericson (sp?) Consumer Electronics, so Ultimate must be a subsidiary. Whether it's always been like that or they got merged/bought out recently is unknown. Frankly, I'm not bothering to find out. I am just waiting for my **** amps to see how they fare.

Heh...

Great price, great amps, great buy.

They'll do around 1500-1600 rms into 1ohm.

Just don't let the temp go over 46. and voltage drop below 11.5 and enjoy them.

I got a message from the seller of that auction and he says he has a bunch of those amps available for sale. He said if you order several from him to one address, he will cut you a break on shipping. If you go this route, you'll need to contact him directly to see about getting a reduction in shipping.

Hey, does anyone know if the regular ultimate warranty is good for product being sold on ebay? Is the dude selling on ebay affiliated with Ultimate Sound? Have you been able to bench this amp yet? I am looking seriously at either buying a T3 500D or T3 1000D.
