opinions on the Viper 2500D?

I want to know what you guys think of this amp. I know it's similar to the Orion 2500D but just can't do 1 ohm. What are your thoughts? I'm looking to buy an amp soon and this fits the budget ($250ish).

I am selling a blown one for $100. I was quoted $100 for repair so you would save some money.

I also have a distro block, along with a long run of 0 ga and 4 short runs of 4 ga, all of which you need for this amp.

good amps, similar to the orion i supose, but 2 ohm stable. i had one - DO NOT accidently touch the speaker wires together if the amp is on, i dont think the short circuit protection was very good and it can blow the amp.

So are they basically the same as the Orions except for the impedance? Anyone know what they actually put out?

IIRC they were benched around 2700 watts. Directed makes both the Orion and Viper.
I'm curious to know where you are getting this new from, since I thought Directed dropped the Viper amps a couple years ago?

x2, thats why i brougth up all the bad refurbs going or that went around. I bought a directed that was supposed now, blew out in 15 minutes. Come to find out it was a refurb with cheap parts...

i had a refurbished 2500.1 (from ikesound) running my 15" sx's for MONTHS.
