opinions on the Viper 2500D?

IIRC they were benched around 2700 watts. Directed makes both the Orion and Viper.
I'm curious to know where you are getting this new from, since I thought Directed dropped the Viper amps a couple years ago?

The dude says it's been collecting dust in their shop and they never ended up selling it. Besides, refurbs come in brown boxes right?

most of the time yes, but you never know. Its rare you find an amp like thet new still in box. If it is indeed new go for it...

the viper isnt that great of an amp. The Orion 2500D is far better for doing the power that it says it should do I have heard. I owned 2 vipers and I wouldn't own them again, they are very large considering they don't do that much power
