Opinions on Hifonics Brutus Amps

1600 series utilizes 4 guage, i think the 2000 might be 2 guage but not sure on that one

i've been looking at these amps also and i wanted to know if they can take 0guage because all the websites i've seen them on just say they are for use with 4.

What would you recommend if you had my set up and money wasnt really an issue?

For kicker subs, the Brutus would be more than fine! I ran a Crossfire BMF 1000d on a 12" L5 and it slammed pretty hard. I just didn't care for the muddy bass that the L5 produces.

I would tell you my preference but your wallet would run out of the room screaming! Here is a hint, it took me the better part of a year to obtain the Linear Power amplifiers that I am planning on using in 2009! I still have 4 that need to go to TIPS for modification and I am waiting on two of those 4 to make their way over to me

Ah hell, I will tell you my other preferences because had I not been able to locate the Linear Power amplifiers I would probably be running something from the following manufacturer on my subwoofers: Rockford Fosgate, Sundown, Digital Designs, or Zapco.

For my front stage I would more than likely be running Sundown, Digital Designs, Zapco, Audison, or DLS. I am not a fan of Rockford Fosgate on mids and highs!

I have a 1606D and it is a great amp, VERY clean bass IMO.

2008D takes 0 AWG wire. Needs external 200A fuse.
