I wasn't going too do this, but.... As a black man, I am truly appalled by the behaviour of this particular community. We do not know ALL of the facts, and can someone please tell me the point of the looting. To me, atleast , it seems that it's perfectly fine for us to kill each other, but god forbid anyone else do so, especially the.police. When we, ourselves, turn our backs and become less than law abiding citizens, how else can we expect the police to treat us? Where is the civil unrest when innocent children are killed as bystanders? We have become our own worst enemy, we don't have to be concerned about others doing us in, our own are doing a fine job of that for us. Some will, and some won't agree, your choice. We need to remember all that has been surpassed, if you want to be treated as a member of a positive society, let go of the 'thug' life mentality, pull up your gdam pants, and act like you belong. Yeah, this became a rant, sorry about that. Just sick and tired of the same old same old. I work everyday, do my level best to be a positive role model to my kids (my job to do, not any athlete or celebrity), and at the end of the day, hopefully I was able to make somebody's day just a lil bit better. Nuff said, I'm done, peace out.

Many black people think they have it so bad. Slavery card is always played.. What about the Egyptians? What about the Romans? Modern day what about the African villages that get slaughtered daily?

What about the AMERICAN INDIANS? How do they live now?

Yes the black race in America today had their ancestors pay a price, what is todays black society going to do? Are they going to benefit from that paid price or just run it into the ground.

Travel to Europe and see how black people are treated, much better than here but also see how they act. They don't wear pants hanging to their knees, ect.

Its not everybody, I know that but the select few ruin it for all. I'm not raciest, I hate white trash also. Being southern I get that same stereotype

I feel the same way, the sad thing is, you almost never here of the positive. I could go on and on about my personal experiences, but I choose not too. What we all need to do is, remember that we are all human. I live just outside of Birmingham Alabama, everybody know it's history, it literally sickens me to be in the heart of the place where so many sacrifices were made so that we could even considered as human beings, to see what has now become so gdam popular. I was called a 'sell out' simply because I prided myself on being articulate, intellectual, and well read, and simply because I didn't talk black. I work everyday, I even carry a gun for a living. I don't care what you look like, or where you come from, we are trained to take dratstic, even deadly action, if ANYONE arrempts to commandeer our weapon, PERIOD. Once you make the attempt, YOU have decided to suffer the consequences. As I stated in a previous post, some will and some won't agree. If we diligently teach our children right from wrong, teach them to work for a living, get over what has happened, treat each other as you, yourself want to treated, things might finally start to improve. But as long as there is a 'snitches get stitches' and the glorification of the thug mentality, I fear that this idiocy will continue. I'm done, again.

If we removed a ****** member we would have less ******. If we removed a thief's hand we would have less thieves.

But we lock them up, give them a bed, a cell phone, a gym, meals... Something seems a bit off about that.

White on white crime, black on black crime, black on crime is never mentioned. BUT if a white guy shoots a black guy its World War 3. This is the problem. We as a society make it a big deal. We claim we treat everyone fairly, but we clearly don't. We criticize a white guy for protesting a black on white crime, but when its the other way around with a black person protesting, they're considered heroes. That is ******* ignorant. Either we're all heroes or were all assholes. The only thing that this rioting is doing is hurting themselves.

*If any of that came off as racist I am sorry because I am the furthest thing from a racist.

After we get back from Thanksgiving break, we will start writing essays. Mine is going to be on the Ferguson situation. All help would be appreciated! Thanks for all the info

But the thing is, that we shouldn't rejoice when ANY life is taken. The Word tells us that we are not to take anything that we can't give. We are all precious in GOD's eyes. I know that some will balk that I went there, so be it, my belief, not yours. I know that there is a better place than this, it has been proven to me over and over. Yes, there is a GOD, and don't say if there were, bad things wouldn't happen. There is good and bad everywhere, I choose to believe in GOD, and that there is a peace beyond compare, we just need to trust HIM, believe His son rose on the third day, and ascended to the Father. Love one another as He loves us. The word promises us that. Now some of you are really going to thing I'm way out there. But I know that I am not the only one who believes this, and I do, with every fiber of my being. And I am not ashamed nor scared to proclaim it. Only when we all come to realize this simple truth, will there be the peace that was promised on the day Christ ascended. And I already said I was done, already. There is so much more than hate, you do realize that we have to be taught to hate, but are born knowing how to love, don't y'all?

Shes doing good, getting big and getting into everything. Also picking up everything you say lol.. im having to be alot more careful about what i say when she is around. Congrats on the 11yr old. Is the 11yr old blood or through marriage?

I usually stay away from these types of things but as i black man, this shits really gets old. Yes its sad what happened but all the other stuff looting etc isnt solving or making anything any better. I bet 90% of the MF's dont even know who Michael even is. They are just there to be there and act F'n monkey along with everyone else. What gets me is most black people get upset or offended because they are stereotyped by others as "thugs" etc, and they get mad about. But its same ones that give prime examples for blacks to be judged this. We dont do this **** when a black man kills another because that **** happens every F'n day but nobody seems to really give a **** or riot and protest about.

Thats just like the N-word. I learned along time ago not to give 0 shits about it. ITS JUST A FUKN WORD, point blank period and i dont fit the definition of the word anyway.

We dont know know all the details about how this went down. All we know is the guy was shot, maybe a bit overkill, the cop was white, the man was black and that mad it a national issue. Honestly if im not mistaking the guy robbed a store earlier in the day and knock some old guy on his ***, so i assume he probably resisted arrest. But thats just my opinion. But either way yes it probably could have been handled better then just shooting him, maybe a taser.

I know this makes me probably sound like a racist black man but im anything but that. It just annoys me how alot black people act. /rant

I hate that it has turned into a race thing unfortunately. There are crimes of racism on all sides of the spectrum. I believe it is hard for anybody to really determine who is right or wrong in this situation UNLESS you were in it, however, I don't believe that the killing of any man woman or child (regardless of race) should not have SOME sort of at least punishment. In my personal opinion I don't believe that the officer should continue working as a law enforcer. It may seem unfair to some but you are also talking about having the responsibility and control of another persons life, which should not be taken lightly. This event is very hard to comprehend really.
