opinions on edead sound deadener

It stays good I have it in a few spots. Just doesn't add much mass. It doesn't even com pare to Extreme.

edead sucks imo, i had edeadvs1 and it was paper thin. ud need several layers to equal one layer of the dynamat. if u deadner and ur broke check out raamat. they sell 62.5 sq ft for like $110

I used it. I would suggest some super 77 spray adhesive and you should be ok. I haven't really tested it in extreme conditions like some, but it was ok. I still have to finish my doors, but I was planning on doing a double layer of edead and then a single of xtreme on my front doors.

But you could get a roll of what others will suggest (Raamat, Second Skin) and do it right the first time.

I have the Fatmat regular through out my car, also Second skin in majority of my trunk. I don't have a bad thing to say about the Fatmat. A lot of people here don't like eDead or Fatmat.

Tis whatever, I made out fine. Helped my frontstage a lot and my bass in the trunk.

I doubt you will - in terms of performance. That $1/ft² is incredibly light and thin. Using Mylar instead of aluminum foil compromises the performance and durability of all of the eDeads, the UE just adds so much thickness that you don't really notice - except that you pay more than you need to and add more weight than you need to. If you have to "quad up" to get decent performance, you are paying more to do 4 times as much work.

FatMat is asphalt and that brings with it another set of problems. Might as well use Peel & Seal. I'd suggest that anybody considering FatMat first ask the seller how it differs from Peel & Seal. The owner of the company has bailed out of every thread in which I've asked that question.

Using less of a better quality products is the way to save money. price/ft² is about as worthless a metric as there is.

Awesome product if you're into un-deadening in the future. Might as well buy a nice quality scraper and some mineral spirits while you're at it because you'll need them.

edead rocks, i have it on my doors and hatch, solid as hell, as a matter of fact, i am going to down a knock test on my doors thats edead. and the panel without edead.

i say get edead, cant go wrong, trust me, had mines for a year and still holding up.
