Well today we decided to trash the current port and do another. Also tonight I will be installing my Alpine deck ipod interface cable, and running 2 sets of rca's for the 50.4. Also will be taking off the door panels and getting things ready for the mids and highs

I'm really curious why you would resin the inside of the box.

I know you said it was rough but you could have easily just

sanded the ply or laminated a 1/8" hard board over the rough

surface gluing it in place giving you a smooth surface or even

sound deadening material. Honestly, its not a necessity to be

perfectly smooth inside. In fact in the end you may benifet

from having fill in the box if you happen to have port noise.

Not a necessity no but if you can do it then why not. And poly fill is mostly for sealed boxes not ported, you can do it but no where near as affective.

Of course not. It's plywood. MDF is nice and smooth.

EDIT: Nonetheless, that box looks like it will hit decently hard. Ok, really hard.

Yes mdf is nice and smooth but birch is more dense and makes a better box. Just more expensive thats why many use mdf.

Well the beast is in the car. So far just the 18 and some 1" tweets are hooked up. The door panels will be worked on soon. But man is the ns freakin loud vids to come when completed
