old skool stroker 15...what do y'all think?

i've run across a STEAL on a bnib old skool stroker 15, but my question is, is this really that great of a daily driver sub? i plan on putting it in a box about 4-5 cubes ported and tuned to low/mid 30's and powering it with 1000-1500 watts.

i want to be in the mid 130's to low 140's range and sound clean. i'm not really looking to compete, but to blow away my friends and others in town

i've heard they're more spl oriented, but would it sound decent even tuned low to 30 Hz?

theyll boom, dont expect it to play classical or anything like that, but not sound bad by any means. Mine goes in soon. 12" D2 with extremley low hours on a recone. 4 cubes ported to 32

its gonna get 900w and if it needs more (which it will simply cause I have this sitting around) 1600w

ps- I know of said stroker 15's NIB

yea i know I looked around and not much info on the oldschoolers but this is what the dude recommended that i got it from, they use huge boxes, if it dont work **** it, I have like 5 sheets of mdf in the basement

I have no clue. Loud. If it isnt loud enough Ill switch to something else.

Yea they were built for sound reinforcement. Theaters and concert halls and such. Look up some history, pretty interesting. I seen a pic a while back some guy had 10 18's in his home theater, not sure about IB or not. cant for the life of me find the pic.
