Hello car audio fellas, like most of us, I'm an old school C. A. fanatic, specially Zed made stuff, but all I hear in the O. S. forums is talk about Orions, PPIs, Soundtreams, Zed, and US Amps. I've been in this business since 86, and I think we should pay some respect to other manufactures that paved the way for this phenomenon that it is today... All I'm asking is to help me mention some names so we don't forget about them! (U see, my memory is not as good as it was 25 years ago) . Anyway, here are some brands that I recall, some help please.....

Audiovox

Altec Lansing

Avalanche

Blade Technologies

Carver

Fuji

Fultron

Craig

Denon

American HiFi

Advent

Deltasonic

Petras

Sanyo

Legacy......

...................just to start off with

I never said they were good, even tho some were, but all of us seen em, used them, or installed them, @ 1 point or another! If it wasn't for most of them, what would car audio be today with only 4-8 manufacturers?

I've used Mcintosh and ADS, believe me, I got my 1st job as an installer in 86, and I've been managing the same store for the past 18 years so I know what good, ok, and crap is! Those are good brands, well, ADS was good b4 directed started making them, but all I"m trying to do is remember some old brands whether they were good or not, or if they still exist or long gone. ... Thanks tho!

Wow! Pyle Drivers were my 1st true woofer that I used after upgrading from my 15'' fishers in my car that were pushed by a Pyramid 100 watt booster. then "upgraded" to a majestic amp!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
