i would never use an old school amp. but thats me.

im sure some do.

i seen it and was thinking maybe buy it and resell it.

as it seems like some like the old school amps..

Those are great amps and if it's in clean condition it'll definitely have collector value as well.

Honestly I can't imagine why people would pay more money for a "modern" Chinese/Korean A/B amp that makes the same power and uses pretty much the same technology. The only wildcard is old electrolytic caps wearing out, but if you buy at a good price that is a non-issue and you have an amp that has cool nostalgia value.

I guess so. They where nice in the day. Some people are stuck there. I don't know about you but I don't want a tube tv

I've used many of these Art series amp. I even had a 1 of 400-500 ish black ax606.2, paid almost $700 for it and never regretted a thing. The models ending in .2 were manufacture in '96, which was the last year of production for the Arts and signified them being given upgraded power supplies. I've listened to the a404/a404.2 in a direct swap, the .2 is incredible. These kids have no idea what the f'ing f they are talking about. Get that amp, it'll be one of the cleanest sounding amps you'll ever hear, nor will you find a better one for $100. Buy it, try it, if you're not in love you can off it on here. Hell I'll probably snatch it up at that price.

lol
im glad some of you dont see the potential value of sought after oldschool amps... if purchased at the right price
you get your dirty ******* mits off that amp, this is my trick. lol

The art is an added bonus. They are quality american made 90's amps, very clean very nice.
Check out the black ones, they're ******* dope.
Haven't seen the black ones in years. The white ones seem to pop up every now and then. Wonder if the black ones were limited production runs vs. white ones?

From my understanding that's pretty much the case. Much less common. **** the link pieces to make 2 amps look liek one big amp were just as rare. Paid a solid $100 EACH for the two I used on my 606.

I also vaguely recall that the guy behind the art series eventually did the HD series for JL.....could be wrong though...
