Old foxbody Mustangs... How are they?

anyways...foxes are fun...drop some 4:10 gears in it, either cobra or GT40 intake with a cold air kit, T5 ****** and have some fun. It'll smoke most cars around, especially all the ricer kids with their fart cannon mufflers. Ls1's are good cars but they will not smoke "every" mustang that comes near it.
People who dont know a thing about cars go with anything with an LS engine in it.

Now if you want to build up an already great motor, and have fun driving a relatively light car, Fox Mustang is the way to go.

 
You could always go my route too. I bought an older body style S-10 and Im dropping a 350 in it with a turbo 350 behind it. Fairly inexpensive way to go for the performance.

 
^^^ But a bone stock LS1 car will take a bone stock 5.0 car all day
right you are sir. no doubt ford makes good engines and so does chevy but bone stock or with upgrades the ls1 is the better engine. you have no idea how many ppl pull up to me with their cobras, and gt's looking for an *** whoopin. and dont even get me started on skylines, and supras lol.

 
i out run ls-1 cars all the time! even the ls6 cars!!! with the gas my car runs in the 6s! and its still got factory a/c and crusie,with 2 pbx se 10s and memphis belle{ the big one}so wish all you ls-1 guys were close by and i would be glad to show ya'll what a 4 valve is all about with or without the gas!its your funeral!!!!!!!

haha take a look at youtube and watch some drag races my friend theres ls1' and ls6's smoking the shit out of cobras and gt's. i have a 2000 z28 and i tear mustangs up. never lost a race to anything under 50 grand.

keep in mind i have not had my camaro very long and havnt been in THAT many races. im not trying to claim i have the fastest car around im just saying i have crushed everything short of a corvette or the new gto. only two races i have ever lost yet. what i think is funny is when some ricer pulls up to a mustang camaro etc. and thinks they have something.

lol thats funny!! ohh and you and your friends never jumped on a 4 valve {cobra motor} in a 2800lbs fox coupe do the math and you all see you or none of you or friends have a chance. my car makes 364 rwhp to the tires!oh and if you think thats all i also have a 125 shot.thats when it runs in the 6s.

 
Well, of course. Lets say a camaro vs mustang, the LS1 was put into the maro starting in 1998, where as the last 5.0 production year was 1995.

The 98 Maro with a 5.7L aluminum block V8 rated at about 325RWHP and 6spd manual.

The 93 Stang with a 4.9L cast iron block V8 rated at about 235RWHP and 5spd

manual.

The maro's engine is lighter, more powerful and much more advanced. Plus the maro weighs as much as the mustang.

So, stock vs stock with drivers of equal skill, yes the camaro has more of a chance of winning.

why not be diff from everyone else and get somthing other than a mustang why not a old school chevelle, nova, impala, caprice, thunderbird, camaro something thats going to be worth money in a couple of years

LOL SHOWS WHAT SOME FLOKS KNOW..1998 cobra motor{4.6} all aluminum block and heads! italian made even weights 80 lbs lighter than a 5.0! and i have a crmoly k-member and a-arms with a coilover. you should know your facts before you jump on the bandwagon

oh and the 1998 cobra made 305hp.. and not 235hp!!!! mine has a tune, long tubes,full exhaust aluminum d/s and flywheel and gear{4.10s}!ITS ALL ABOUT THE TUNE!!!!!!
