Well, how much can you afford ?

How much power do you plan on running ?

Must it be a specific impedance ?

What size subwoofer are you wanting ?

I can afford maybe $275-$300/woofer as I was looking to run two 12's or 15's in the rear seat area of my truck. I plan on just taking the seat out, so space and size of the box really aren't a problem.

Look at a Fi Q 15". It's within your budget, and I haven't heard anything but good about it.

Haven't heard the Q, but I have heard many people say that it sounds kind of sloppy when getting low.

i'd say only a couple has said that whereas many people has said the opposite...

it doesn't seem like you can do better for $260 a 12 SHIPPED man...people have been comparing it to subs 2x its cost...

Yeah a 12" BM would be a good choice for you and is within your budget..Especially if you check out Audio Junkies Changing business sell...VERY NICE PRICE the BM..

FI Q's sound really good. on a budget though you're gonna need an amp that pushes at least close to 2000 rms for 2 of them.

The W6V2 is right in your price range. I listen to strictly metal too (Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, In Flames, you get where I'm going) and I heard a W6 play and keep up perfectly with this. That's why I bought mine.

As the owner of a Mag, I have to seriously recommend the BM for a setup that's based on SQ but capable of getting loud.
