Me and B_Campbell worked out a deal in which I was buying a blown Destroyer he had for the motor. I got the sub today and it was ceized up. After separating the surround from the basket, slicing through the spiders, and cutting the tinsel leads, I removed the cone and VC assembly from the motor after a few good tugs. I noticed the coil wasn't burnt at all, but the motor was way off center //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif. From the looks of it, all the magnets and pole are still in line, just the top slab which the basket is bolted to has shifted. Me and Campbell are now wondering if this motor is repairable. Here are the pics to judge upon...

it was fedex
I have another destroyer, and if it comes down to it we can work something out over shipping it.
That's the thing. I don't wanna destroy a perfectly fine destroyer. That's why I wanted a blown one... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Holy ballsacks is that motor jacked up. I'd contact RE and see if they can realign it for you or something.
when he called RE for a recone on it before I shipped it they were wanting around 300 or more, plus shipping, on top of that they didnt know what a destroyer was, he had to get someone on the phone that knew what they were talking about which took for ever to find...

Yeah RE is pretty screwy lately. Like a REdefined RE. A diffeREnt RE. I told ya man, we'll split the shipping and dont worry about what I end up with after fees. I can't leave all this weight on just your shoulders...

Try taking the basket off the motor. You may have a couple of broken screws, or screws that are too short. I would check that first.
All the screws are fine, I checked. It's the top slab of the motor that shifted...
