ohms?

This is the electrical resistance(impedance) of the speaker. It is the speakers opposition to the follow of current. A 4 ohm speaker will draw double the power of a 8 ohm speaker. The lower the impedance the more power the speaker will draw. There is of cousre a limit to this becuase the amp will shut down, blow up if the output is loaded to heavily. The reason that a 4 ohm speakers is common in car stereo is for effecienecy.
