odd problem with HU install...

so I installed my old alpine 9813 in my finaces car last night, replacing a 9805. Just a good ol swap out of the wiring harness all that was done.

and now only the right side speakers play music. and when you adjust the balance to the left it fades it to the back, and when you adjust the fade to the back it fades it to the back also.

any ideas as to what went wrong???

Sounds like you got some wires switched around, or bought the wrong wiring harness.

it is the wiring harness that came with the HU. I just need to pull it and check all my wires tomorrow. But I am 99.9% sure they are all right. But must not be cause something screwy is wrong.

but why would the balance fade them and the fader fade them????? and the left channels not even work? kinda weird.

Are you running anything off the head unit or is it all amps? Check your RCA connections. If not, double check the wiring with a DMM.
