I've got 2 kenwood excelon KAC-810D amps and will have each running to a 15" eclipse 88150 sub. The box will be in the back of my 2001 tracker and the amps will be too (though not sure on placement) I'm curious as to what components i would need to wire my ssytem. I went to the local shop and they wanna charge me 250 to do the install and wires. They mentioned having to drill through my firewall due to using 1 guage wire. WHat do I need to wire my system, that way i can eaither try to wire it myself, or i can find the parts cheaper and then have them just install it.

What kind of power are you putting out? I don't think you really need 0/1 for one eclipse. What you need to get is power wire, ground wire, remote wire, and some RCA's, connectors and stuff. Rockford Fosgate makes a kit that has everything, but there are other places that sell the components seperately, but buying a whole kit may be your best bet because it comes with everything including fuses. Hell, people even say the Walmart kit is alright, but i'd just buy the power kit and get some good RCA's.

I have 2 eclipse's, each going to be fed by it's own kenwood amp. Sorry bout the confusion. What about a distirbution block, i was told i would need one of those..and i don't even know what one of those are!

Oh, ok. Then you will need 0 gauge wire. And you will need a distribution block too. Here, here's a picture of one.

You'll need one with at least one 0-gauge input and 2 4-gauge outputs.

This is my thought as well. Would be a much better box volume if you could buy the 12" version of those subs.
