newbie questions

I am trying to add a sub on my S10 extended cab without sacrificing a lot of room in the back, and also without spending a lot. I am new at this and just had a few question about building my own box and which low costs subs are good for sq.

As far as the box I was hoping to have it fire down to save on space, but i was wondering what room you need between the back of the sub and the top of the box and also between the front of the sub and the floor?

As far as the subs I was looking at either an 8 or a 10. If an 8 either or kicker or fosgate, or if i spend more money a 8w3v2 or eDa8. If an 10 either a kicker or fosgate or maybe an infinity.

Just wondering if anyone had a suggestion on any of these subs and if it is worth spending the extra money?

Any info is appreciated.

Yeah, if you are looking for something quality, look at maybe a 10w3v2 those are awesome. But if you are trying to conserve alot of space and still sound good i would look into an ED10 maybe the A series..
