Newbie question

I am very new to the whole car audio scene, so please forgive my ignorance. Alright, I just bought a kicker kx400 amp which has a 2 ohm impedance. My question is would it be safe to use with a kicker comp vr 12" dual 2 ohm sub? Any help is greatly appreciated.

FYI, saying your amp has a 2 ohm impedance does not make sense. Impedance is a form of resistance which an amp does not posess, it subs that do. You meant to say, "My amp is stable down to 2 ohms"

See, I told you I was new to this whole audio thing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif . Here is another question, since I can't wire it to 1 ohm how would I go about wiring the sub to 4 ohms. Again, I'm sorry to be asking all these stupid questions, but I would rather ask now than ruin my equipment and ask why it happened.
