What to do with subs 13w7 or 12w6

Alright guys currently i have a jl 13w7 in a sealed box powered by a ppi dcx 1500.1

should i make a ported box for the 13w7

or sell the 13w7 for 2 12w6's

i wanna stick with the jl line

any help is appreacited

make the ported box for the W7. IMO

If you have enough space then make a ported box for the w7, then see how you like it

i think that the W6v2 is an all around better woofer, but that is just me. my ears think it sounds way better. personally i think its one of the best subs out there. i would go with two w6v2 12"s.

Box specs please. Also, what type of sound quality are you wanting? Tight and super clean bass or loud and pounding bass? I can't make a suggestion until I know more.

umm sealed box now is at 1.875 cu. ft from their website and loud and pounding is what i am looking for

Port it. You will enjoy the 13W7 more. Those things get monsterously loud by themselves. Sealed is best used if you want good tonal quality or are going for over powering the sub for SPL. Out of curiosity, what vehicle is this in and what's the amp pushing the sub?

yeah that puppy should pound just fine... are you powering it properly? W7's are great subs, and so are the w6v2.

i am using a ppi dcx 1500.1 wired down to .75ohm i think i have planty of power just need to get her a new box

How'd you wire two 3ohm coils down to 0.75ohm with one speaker? the only options would be 1.5ohm or 6ohm.
