Newbie on Subs

Hey I am looking for 1 12 or a pair of 12s that is relatively cheap. that bumpbs hard and has good sound quality. I dont mind used if in good condition, but need ideas for what type of sub to get. Please let me know any ideas which you may have. Thanks for the help.

I was hoping to spend no more than 150 for either a single 12 inch sub or 2 10s or something that will give me good bass and good soundquality. I do not mind used subs if you know any good deals.

I have a whole trunks worth of space in my 2000 bonneville. So I am wondering what sort of subs I should get? I was thinking maybe kickers. I know theyre loud but i am no pro at the sound quality? Please help me out. Thanks

do you want it to be loud?? because i know alot about being a person starting out buying subs, so i ask you do you want it to get loud, as in loud enough to hurt?

Most kicker I have heard dont have much sound quality. We need to know what size amp you have or are planning to get. For $200 you could get infinity perfects they have sound quality and get decent loud. Thats about the best you are going to do for under 200, you could find some on ebay used for cheaper. Look at idq's on ebay they might be out of your price range but sooner or later you can get a deal. What are you looking at spending for an amp? I am guessing on a budget look at hifonics and california amps.

I've heard setups with comps (not CVRs, comps) that got my attention... did it sound GREAT?... no... BUT for how stupid cheap they were it was WAY better than I expectd.

the cvrs have decent SQ in sealed boxes my IMO would be 2 compvr 12s

i agree with him, kappa perfects would be good if you dont really know what you want. Shop around on ebay so you get a good price.

if i were u i would get one descent sub (maybe a pioneer or alpine) and then u can always add another one down the road

i have a 2000 bonneville also. the trunk is pretty big i just fit a pretty big ported box to fit snug in the back part of the trunk, with alot of extra room.

cvrs are awesome for the price, also look at the pioneer spls they are nasty.
