What is the best sub for me

Im new to car audio. I've recently bought a Autotek Mean Machine MX-5000 amp for $400 from a friend. From what he tells me, it is an awesome amp, and since im a noob I'll have to take his word for it. My question is "what sub would be best for my amp?" Im looking for a sub that sounds clean but can get loud also. Your opinion would be most helpful.

That is one powerful amp,u have a lot of choices,how much room do u have to work with and what kinda music u listen too.

Nah I am just west of N.O. maybe 5 minutes away,I was weird some places got it hard and others didnt

Im from the upper 9th ward of new orleans. My area did receive some flooding but not as bad as other places you see in the news but bad enough where my house is currently unsuitable to live in. Ill recently got a new car since my old one got flooded. Its a civic hatchback which i got for 2800$. I listen to all kind of music mostly rap and some techno and rock. Money over here is pretty good now since every place you go is hiring with weekly bonuses. So if you guys could give me some suggestions on the best sub for my amp, that which sounds clean and loud, it would be most appreciated.

Well if money is not a problem! I would put two kicker solo x 15" subs. And that is if you have the room for that.

Wow, thats a heck of an amp for a starting amp. Consider upgrading the electrical in your car too. You have a ton of options for subs.

What kind of car do you have and how much space are you willing to give up? How much money do you want to spend?

u say u want to sound good,U have a very powerful amp,and I am not sure how much room there is in those cars,I am think( I know they are some small cars)I'd look in to Image Dynamics subs,On another note I tought pretty much the whole 9th ward was pretty much wiped out!?

Single 15", that will take whole back pretty much. Sub and port firing up. There are a million subs you could use, search through the forums for what you might like then come back and ask some Q's about it.

good amp it will do 2400 rms at 2 ohms bridged you could run a variety of woofers.

he wouldnt have enough power for 2 solo x subs try 2 pa mofos they will take that power decent subs to

He will be pressed for space, he could do 1 15 ported or 2 15's sealed. Wont be able to squeeze much more than that out of it.

he could do 2 12s in 4 cubes ive seen it done and was great or 1 15 in about the same size box not to mention hed have to cut the power in half for one 15 unless he pays an arm and a leg for a high powered sub

also if he did 2 15s sealed hed still be lookin at 4 to 4.5 cubes wich the mofo 12s will work nicely in
