Well to start off I own a 2014 Mercedes c250, I originally had 2 10" L3 solobarics with 2 400.1 kicker amps. So yea one amp blew and so did one speaker..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif not cool..... So now that I have a blown JL audio 1000.1 amp I'm going to send out to get fixed, I'm planning on ordering two kicker comp Rs 12" now I don't have to much knowledge in this but I would like to know what ohms the speakers I'm ordering need to be and if that amp will fit that system well? And if it would sound better then my 10" solos

Suggests opinions welcomed

First issues we gotta work on is your habit of blowing up amps and speakers.... Those arent poor quality amps and they should not be blowing. What is your electrical system like? Do you know how to properly set gains? Do you know what clipping is?

No idea, I had a local installer set up it up and he just destroyed my set up :/ I think he did it on purpose because I didn't buy nothing from him A** hole. But I found a guy that was high recommended by lots of people just need to make sure I buy the right stuff

i would really recommend learning how to do it on your own, its not as hard as many people would think and since you are working on your own system, you'll know the ins and outs and how to fix any issue that arises. Not to mention saving tons of money. Lots of information on the net on how to do your own installs, Tools needed are very basic. You can also post any questions on the forum and people will help trouble shoot with your install. There's also lots of in depth youtube videos on how to do things too.

Another quick question you think a 13.5v6v2 with a 500.1 JL amp will sound better then my kicker set up
No offense, but lots of things would sound better than a kicker setup. Are you mainly going for a sound quality setup, or want to get loud too? If money is a problem, Soundqubed would be a great option. What's your budget?

*Also, nice car!
