NEWBIE Need help on choosing subs for my car

I have been out of this scene for a long time. I recently purchased a 86 grand national and I cannot stand listening to the radio because it sucks so bad. I am going to go with some cdt's up front, for the HU Pioneer 780MP. I want to know what would sound good in my car. My last car was a nissan 300zx with 3 JL 10's and it hit very hard. I listen to mostly rap and techno. I like 10's but I will go with 12's if they sound better in the type of car I got. TIA

I have heard good things about alpine type r. I dunno what assassins or arsenals are?? someone also recommended one single fi audio 12'' Never heard of them either... I think Iam leaning towards the alpine type r.

Type Rs are good subwoofers, just don't believe the hype.

I'd recommend Incriminator Audio 187s. I owned them for a year and I can not say one bad thing about them. I've gone through their big brother the LIs and the Stereo Integrity Magnum and I still miss my old 187s. I've listenened to several Type R installs still don't think anything of them compared to those IAs.

i was happy with my type r's. that this price man just get sum type r's or pioneers. maby sum 187's they will all do u very nice

MTX 7500's - MTX 9500's are good. 7500 will do 800 watts, 8500 will do 1000, and the 9500 tops 2000 watts. I have a 7500 at only 400 watts and my ears start ringing after only a few minutes. They do well ported too.

I have a friend of mine selling an kicker 12'' L7. How would one of those sound? or would it be better to get 2 12'' IA 187's instead?
