Hey guys, this is my first post and i am also a complete newb to ICE. I know very little other than what i have researched over the last few days.

Basically, i got 2 of these 1200W Kenwood Subs for cheap

http://www.kenwood-electronics.co.uk/products/ListProduct.aspx?k1=2&k2=7&k3=114&pr=1836

And i need an amp to power them. As i said i know NOTHING about this so i need a lot of advice.

Basically i want to be able to power both subs on an amp without spending more than £100.

Do i want a one channel or a two channel amp? I read that subs are always played in mono?

Does that mean that you dont have one sub for the left channel and one for the right, but two subs both putting out mono output?

In that case should i just get a powerful mono amp or should i get a 2 channel one?

If i get a 2 channel one, do i wire it so the sound is in stereo as described above or do i "bridge" them (i've heard this term used quite a lot) and have them both playing the same thing?

Also what does all this 2X300W @ 4ohm etc stuff mean?

If i connect 2 subs to a 1000W mono amp, does that mean they both get/run at 1000W or do they only get/run at 500W each?

Please excuse my ignorance as i am a complete beginner to ICE (but hey everyone has to start somewhere). I tried looking for guides on the net but couldnt find any.

Also any advice on recommended models etc to power my subs are appreciated.

Any help at all is appreciated. Cheers. Mark

Go to :http://www.profilecaraudio.com/amplifiers.htm and pick your amp, these are the best budget amps around and factory refurbs for CHEAP. Forget the max power rating on your subs and use the nominal or rms rating when determining how many watts you need from the amp, and for the sub. I would do the 600msx or 400msx off the page above for that sub, and run it at 2ohms

i think those subs are dual 2ohm so get a Rf bd1000 and wire them in series/parallel at

2ohms and you'll be getting around 600wrms for each sub
