Newbie building system needs help!!

Okay, I gotta start building my system soon and purchasing the parts and what not, so I got a few questions I hope somebody mayb able to answer..

1) When deciding what the setup will be, what is the first thing to decide (HU, speakers, subs, amp..), and in what order should they be added?? for example....speakears first, then amp, then HU, etc...?

2) Are 4/3-way speakers the same thing as component speakers? If not then whats the difference?? Also, If I'm going to have a subwoofer is it still a good idea for me to get 3 or 4 way speakers?????

3) I want my speakers to be the "best part" of my system, rather then most cars which are focused on their subs and the bass...so would I need 2 amps? One for the speakers and one for the sub, in order for it to sound its best??? *asuming the speakers need more power then that provided by the HU*

1. id get the h/u first. its the brain of the system in most cases

2. coaxial 2way,3way speakers have the tweeter connected to the woofer.

Component speakers have a seprate tweeter and crossover

3. yes, 1 amp to the speakers, 1 amp to the subwoofers.
