I wasnt lieing when I said in my earlier post that I call a sub impractical with a near 2 foot mounting depth...Shit wait until mad mike gets ahold of this thing. And I do think that they are trying to go mainstream and I dont like the looks of the RE future.

yes 15"-16" is the mounting depth...

and no that's not counting the 1/2 roll surround

My deffintion of an impractical Subwoofer... One with a mounting depth near 2 feet, the cost of the subwoofer and the power needed to push it respectably, reaching in upwards of 1500 dollars. A suround that is more like a bicycle inertube than a speaker suround and needing a forklift to load it into the enclosure. Now I will admit that the New XXX will be a bad *** woofer, but when does one draw the LINE. a perfect example of this is the new RL-s...A hell of a HT sub but really not all that practical when it comes to puting one in a vehicle. I think that RE would of had alot more sucess just upgrading the older version, It was an outstanding Car audio sub, now basically what they have made is IMHO is there version of the MTX jackhammer.

that raises sensitivity (not efficency)... and it also raises the F3 point sealed...
efficency is a measured spec

But a big box would help a sub that was inefficient, so my point is still valid.

Yep they are edging their way into the world of Alpine Pioneer and Eclipse....But I dont see it working.

but this applies to any speaker... I don't consider having a 35hz F3 advantageous all in the name of senstivity

not to mention when you go over Vas you're loosing output across all bandwith

No way people would buy em over JL, kicker and alpine. RE would prolly be broke by the time they got their name out. I shit you not man for every person here who knows re 10000 dont. Dealer prices are nowhere near great imo. The se would prolly have to be sold for at least $200 an sx for at least $300 etc... for 12s.

Not to mention there warranty is nothing like alpine kicker etc. They just wouldnt last. They better do something because to me their CS was shitty when I first heard of them, and hasnt gotten any better. I'd gladly take my money to AA SS SI IA etc. over RE. If re can't even take care of us few internet customers, they'd get eaten alive going against mainstream companies.
