So I got a little done today. Mounted the tweeters in the doors panels and front woofers into the factory spots. Is this somewhat where you meant Kai? I scrutinized where to put the tweets for an hour and despite where the manual said to mount them high by the a pullers I decided to install them here. Mostly because that's where I usually notice aftermarket tweets installed? I'm hoping someone will chime in and tell me I've done the right thing and why!View attachment 26554179

Could be a good spot. The tweeters will fire a bit towards you. I've had conversations with installers and have seen and heard tweeters mounted in all sorts of places...A pillars, top of dashboard, etc...I've found that keeping them closer to the mid range/bass drivers keeps the sound stage balanced and in the same area where neither dominates the other...

I think you will like them there.

After seeing the panel installed I think I've got a good spot. Keeping them close to the driver does make sense. They ended up being directed perfectly the way the surface of the door is curved. If I would have put them in the a pillar I would have had to use a really cheesy angled braket that came with them to have them pointed anywhere near the right direction so it turned out better all around.
