I plan to remove the dash and install a large touchscreen connected to a Raspberry Pi computer to create a full audio center featured around Kodi, perhaps with GPS navigation, wifi, etc. The size of the screen will be based on the truck, not sure yet.
My biggest worry / lack of knowledge in this area is on which truck to buy for my project. I want to buy a cheaper truck which has a dash that is easy to remove just the radio section, but I don't lose the A/C controls, car controls, etc. and can support a touchscreen size display. A truck that is easy to work with / roomy in that area. Any information would be highly appreciated. I'm interested in Toyota Tacomas, Chevy Silverados, Ford F-150's, etc around 2000-2005ish.
I will make a full guide on how I accomplished the hardware / software setup when done with the exact code / operating system / inputs / outputs / etc.
