Well, I was looking for something to drive in the winter anyways, as driving 45 minutes each way to school...not good in a Mustang. The plan was get an old beater, since I'll only drive it a couple months out of the year.

Then...I got in some trouble with the law, and looks like I might not be driving the mustang for the next year, but still need to figure some things out.

What that means? I'll be getting a little bit of a better vehicle. Need something low on car insurance, so sporty cars are defiently out of the picture.

My buddy suggest I buy a Jeep Wrangler, because he's in love with his. He admited it'll **** in winter...or anytime it's not hot out, but they are fun. I've driven my brother's a few times and love it...but can't see them being near as fun when I can't feel my fingers.

Then, I started thinking Jeep Grand Cherokee, or atleast some sort of SUV style car. Then I can focus more on audio, and not worry about having the temptation to be generous on the gas peddle.

Kicker? Looking for a max of $4k-$6k. I'll have about $2k to put down in a little over a month, so I can get a nice downpayment, and finance the last bit.

yeah... i dont think you'd want to drive an SUV that far every day... unless you can afford all that gas...
I would like the 4WD ability, as I do live in Ohio. Winters here arn't nice to us or our vehicles.

I'd be willing to pay for the extra gas for the extra safety. Plus, how I drove my Mustang, I was getting 12-14MPG (I forgot what I calculated it as)

Jeep Wrangler's get worse gas mileage than Mustang's do0d.
But they don't **** in the winter if you get a hard top (assuming it is a TJ and not any previous models).
Put a peach in yo moouth and shove the jeep talk in yer *** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

you are a ***** if you cant hack winter in a small car.

I commute 140 miles (round trip) a day in a focus zx3 in south dakota winters.

The only time i have gotten stuck is when i tried to bust through a 5 foot snow drift in my driveway.

At 6k you could find an accord v6 with like 150k maybe less.

They are pretty quick, fun, reliable, cheap to fix, and still get decent gas mileage. You just have to settle with something with quite a few miles, but it'll last a longggg time if you treat it well.

I used to be in the exact price range you are. I looked at grand cherokees... and reliability / gas mileage turned me off, but they have good sized trunks for systems //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. Its your choice obviously, but I wouldnt go that route. They are especially bad if you get the 4wd version, which gets worse gas mileage and you have to pay a shit ton for repairs.

Look at toyota, honda, and nissan. You might say they are gay, but whats gayer than having a car sitting somewhere because it needs shit fixed or you cant afford gas?

If you must have an suv, try to find a honda crv or toyota 4runner in your price range. I like 4runners, but definitely am not a huge fan of CRVs... either way they are pretty fuel efficient and reliable.
