Hey,

I am new to car audio and did some research and came around the brand AudioQue.I am planning on getting a new system soon and need some help from the experts here. What do you guys think three 12 inch AQ HDC 3 with a 7 cube box tuned to around 38 ran by a AQ 3500 would sound like. I am looking for loudness and will be going to local small comps.

well i will let u know, i own 2 sd.5s 12inches and thoughs pound so the hdc3 should be amazing. what i dont understand is why 3. that would put u in a higher class were most ppl will have 4 12s. unless it is a trunk car then that would be fine. all i know is that my cavalier is hitting a 146.3 with 2 of the 2.5sds

if ur getn a 3500 ur gone HAVE TO upgrade ur electrical system. (extra bat and high amp alt) other than that.... its a great start for a loud system...

4 P1's with sufficient power vs 1 HDC3 with sufficient power, in my opinion, comes up to a toss up between who has the better enclosure.

The setup you described sounds GREAT for a first setup - just remember, as stated, you HAVE to upgrade your electrical.

The box is also a HUGE key in getting loud.

Dj owns AQ and his son owns DD Audio. They have the same baskets. But everything elce is different. Im shere there made in the same factory to.

I just got 2 15in hdc315s yesterday and there sexy. There going in a 8.5cb foot box @ 40hz after all displacements. Aq is an awsome brand. If i was you just do 2 15's or 2 12's

Well how would the 2 12s ran off the 3500 compare to 1 9515 ran off a aq 2200 its ran at 2 ohms so it was only seeing 1200 rms??

plus if i only get two i can only run that amp at a 2 ohm or .5 ohm load and i dont even know weather or not these amps are stable at half an ohm...with 3 and i can it at a 1.34 ohm
