New system - I've actually lost SQ vs. my stock system. wtf?

your amp ain't doing it. I've rarely seen comps that would scream off 35watt...

Get a proper mono amp, a sub in a enclosure and a high power amp. 5channel amps are not my thing

overrated or not 35 watt ain't doing shit in a car

Even if your amp puts out, lets say 55 watts per channel, your not going to get want you want out of your system. Double check your crossovers and look into getting an amp that puts out around double what you got now and you will be happy.

POWA is overrated.

Those cdts just might not be as efficient as the stock speakers were. I'm sure that amp is a bit underrated.

IMO, it's probably a speaker/install issue.

stock speakers are usually cheap paper cone. Very light and efficient, even in the low spectrum.

You just can't compare stock and aftermarket parts. They aren't in the same league, most of the time.

Yea power is overrated, but without it, you won't do anything

With only 35x4; you may have been better off with some low level Boston Acoustics coax's.

I don't know what 6x9 subs your running, but 9 times out of 10 it's a no (tang-band may be an exception)

Plus Bose cheats and uses heavy equalization to make up for the shortcomings of their cheap *** drivers.

So...the amp is underpowered. Meaning that Im not even beginning to efficiently drive the speakers, making them sound poor?
yeah especialy in the midbass range. My id's started to shine when i bridged my amp. Even at low level, the speakers sound richer from all the headroom

No. Meaning your not given them the power you need to run them how you want. Thats why you smell speakers. Your probably clipping the hell out of the signal.
K thanks, now were getting somewhere. How does Bose cheat?

And for the speakers and clipping...so the speakers are asking too much from the amp? Overdriving it and mucking up the signal? K makes sense if that's true. I listened to each speaker closely at low level, they dont sound damaged (luckily) hopefully I didnt tear them up

No, the singnal the amp is putting out is probably clipped. Search clipping on here and that will help you.
