New substage, getting serious..

there might be something more than picking equipment to getting high numbers
This is just a loud daily driver. If I'm going to compete, I'll face them forward and seal the trunk and I would get a box with an interchangeable port tuned to something really high. And I'm looking at the SD3k, which is smaller than my AQ 1200D actually.

I'm still looking for an alternator, can't find anything..

DO NOT GO SOUNDDIGITAL...theres a mosfet shortage and if u blow ur amp or if anything goes wrong, ur ****ed...thy use special parts that not just anyone can pick up...you'll be waiting months without ur amp if u mess it up

...I can't find any alternators for my 02 Camry.. I believe it's the 2.4L engine, 4 cyl.
Contact "maniac motors" on ebay, they sold me mine for my camry. Also I'm sure Nathan at Excessiveamperage could build one (or probably anyone else in the HO alt business).

The box I posted pics of worked well. If you angle the top it will allow you quite a bit more volume. Be sure to NOT block off the hole between the trunk and the cabin, the more space you can leave around that for soundwaves to pass through the better. I had pretty good results subs facing forward or back (with back seeming to favor lower notes in its response). Most of the boxes I made I had ports and subs on opposite sides.

This one was OK, tuned very low and I think I lost a bit of output from it being too **** big and blocking off the hole:

How many amps is your alt and how much was it? I guess since I'm going big I might as well fire forward and seal the trunk. I had 2 10s sealed a while ago and it is very true, the lows are better with the subs firing backwards.

The Maniac Motors one was 120-130A IIRC....of course the price was @ 150$ too. That plus 2 deep cycles in the trunk was enough for a few KW and more. Then again I wasn't running anything at crazy low impedence either.

The other online HO alternator guys should be able to build up something bigger, but it will be priced at 300$ and up to be sure.

My back seats fold down so port to the side I don't think would do anything.

And can a 130A plus a battery in the back sustain 4k? I think I would be able to get a 2 ohm version of the sd3000.
