I just ordered 2 12" cerwin vega vmax subs that are 2ohm DVC. I am wondering what would be the best, CHEAPEST amp mono prefered that could put out 1000rms to 1200rms at 2 ohms? thanks

also, at about how many watts rms should you get a bigger altenator? is 1000rms to 1200rms ok for a stock altenator on a ford ranger with power windows, and locks?

You should look into the kenwood 9103d. It claims 900 RMS at 2ohms and you can find it for about $200-$150. You should upgrade your alt as those are usually pretty small and 1000+ watts takes a fair amount of power to make. For now you should look into an upgraded battery, and maybe a capacitor or some sort. I would suggest running 0 gauge power and ground wire also.

Peace, Lee
