New Sub

I recently noticed that Im more of a sql man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif and I dont really like spl too much which basically all the solobarics are. Plus im pulling pretty hard on my electrical system with that amp I got //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bawling.gif.6287aa5d1d447c8af063fc9466e822ef.gif .

Im looking to get a 12 inch sub that is more on the sql side. The one I have in mind rite now is the Shiva. Is there anyother sub that is cleaner than the shiva and handles more watts? Maybe 600 would be nice.

Whatever sub I get I will put it in a ported enclosure.

i havn't heard an SE befor but my SX sounds real good and gets loud, it dosent sound as good as SE or xxx but it hits hard

IA love ported boxes...they also do well in sealed, but they shine in ported. Talk to kickerlivnloud on here....he has one 12 in a ported box and loves it. I've also heard 1 12" myself ported...wicked sub, especially for the price. peace

i'll give the SE a nod, and yes, i too have heard one....great sq and spl w/ only 600watts...i'd highly recommend them for that power range

So SE has more sq then SX? That kinda moves me toward one side cuz I was thinking between the SX and a SE but im more interested in sq than spl

Ur suggesting a Koda? I mean I was looking into the Shiva but I kinda wanted something that handled a little more and give a little bit of spl but im still on the sq side of it. So the SE sounds pretty good rite now.

Koda 12's are not out yet. They only recently released the Koda 8, and the 10 isn't even all that old. Hopefully the 12 will be out soon.

As for would a Shiva be better than a Koda, that depends what you mean by better. The Shiva would have more output, as it's a 12" sub, where as the Koda is a 10. The Siva costs less, considerably less too. But, the Koda has XBL^2 and like someone above said, is basically a brahma baby brother, and wins out in the SQ department. Ive heard some pretty knowledgeable people say the Koda 10 is shaping up to be one of the best SQ subs made yet, anywhere. I think a system with a pair of Koda 10's would be sweetness.
