My Harmon and Kardon sub wangs enough Its fallen off the desk a few times from actually slowly rattling off from its own bass.

It should be on the floor, obviously. If its dancing like that, you are losing output and gaining rattles. Put it on the floor in a corner, you'll get much better results that way. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif You'll get less rattles, more output, and the corner loading will lower the frequency response a bit as well.

it will definitely work, just don't blast it and make sure the heat sink on the system board has air circulating alot because that will heat up like made due to teh lowered resistance. ehehe my B-52 is owning my system board, lol.

How do I just know its one of those old SPL versions of the B-52, with the cast frame and huge magnet. lol I had the smaller model B-52's when I was alot younger. The good old days...

The system board heats up like mad crazy, to the point where if you touch it you'll blister your skin. I have it covered the second port which helps eleviate the airflow thus cooler board //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif (also lengthens the port a bit) and the SQ is amazing!

How do I just know its one of those old SPL versions of the B-52, with the cast frame and huge magnet. lol I had the smaller model B-52's when I was alot younger. The good old days...

mine is one of the smaller ones, it's not the one with the huge driver though, the sub itself, i sh!t you not, weighs as much as my MOFO15 and the driver is not only thinner and much wider but the frame is cast iron. And these things are like Cerwin's they just won't blow lol, believe me i tried it with my A2400DB >//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yeah Ive looked briefly and dont see anything about them either, just some new product with the B-52 label (stage equipment I think). Back in the day I had mine, there were basically 2 models. I got the smaller ones, looked like a traditional speaker with the stamped steel frame and mid sized magnets. But they had a bigger model (I wanted desperately at the time lol) that had a cast frame and single large magnet that was almost the same diameter as the cone. They looked similar to the old IDW's.. sort of. I suspect you have the bigger model, as Im thinkg we may have discussed this before. lol I remember speaking to someone not too long ago that had one of those old beasts still. I dont remember what ever happened to my old B-52's. Hell now that I think about it, they very well be in a closet around here still. *revelation* I should look one of these days. lol

Cool. Always wondered how they performed. The B-52 models I had were amazingly average.
