I've got a pair of 3004s - I don't like the baskets. Overbuilt, and not in a good way. Seems restrictive.

Nice choice on subwoofer. Well we did a test in my buddys bronco. He had 2 of the 2004spl subs in his in a pretty decent size ported box. We swaped them out for 2 of the 3004spl subs and let me tell you there is a pretty good difference in the 2. The low end is just crazy and the sq is still there. We took a ac190 mic too it becasue that is all we had and he did 149.2 on it. All on a older mmats amp. Cant remember how many watts it was. Amp was small looking though. He has done 146.1 on his old subs off same mic. So just changing out subs some how gained him 3dbs. I thought you had to double up power and all to gain that many dbs if you hit anything over 140. Anyway great sub, with the right power and enclousere you will be happy with those.

there's supposed to be a "showdown" around my town pretty soon between me and a few of my friends

me: 2 2000 spl's 4.5 @34hz-97 ex. cab silverado off a viper 1200.1

my friends 2 3002 spl's off a hifonics 1500d in a 2002 ex cab silverado in a prefab ported box

another friends 2 12" l5's off a RF 400x2 amp in a prefab ported box in an ex. cab nissan

another friend with a 18" RF punch xlc IN THE BED of a 2000 ranger w/tonneau cover (rattles to hell)

it'll be interesting to see who wins.........no mic though just comparisons i guess

just sold my 3004's, AMAZING sub, i'm going to buy a single 3002 unless i can get my hands on a xxx : )

get that thing in a box, you'll love it even more, ported 4 the win here, but sealed isn't bad either, just give em ~1.85 cubes sealed.
