JESUS! I'm beyond sick of hearing people say "it's overpriced". Might as well put a stamp on your forehead and a name tag on your shirt that says "Here we go again". Seriously, when are people going to get over it. You can either but it at retail, find a good deal on it, or just don't buy it. Regardless, let's quit flooding every quality post about JL with responses of the tired, redundant, overstated "they're overpriced". Seriously, it's old already.

I truly suggest that everytime a JL thread heads into this direction it be locked. There's got to be a hundred posts on this forum with everyone expressing their views on this topic. If someone truly wants to hear both sides, they can use the search button.

It's over *their* price, not really overpriced. If it were truly overpriced, it wouldn't sell and that isn't the case now is it?

Most of the people that I've seen going on and on about how bad JL is used their product in a manner other than it was intended and were dissatisfied with the results. Rather than understanding that they made the mistake ('cause everyone is so used to this liberal "it's not your fault" BS), they blame JL for charging too much for a product that doesn't perform in a manner in which it was never intended to.

The analogy I like is calling a Bentley Continental overpriced because it isn't as good off-road as a Jeep Wrangler. No one would dream of making that comparison, but they make what amounts to the same statement about JL products all the time.

The honest facts are that you can get louder than any JL sub for less money. Period. JL wasn't meant for SPL, so what does that prove? It doesn't do what it wasn't meant to, mission accomplished!

Really? I have a JL sub that is only one or two years younger than you that's still perfectly functional. I have also never heard of a JL product failing that wasn't user error.

That and everyone and their brother is running it.

Yep, way to pull a meaning out of something that wasnt there.

$350+ for a w6v2 12 is not cost effective for myself or most DIYers. Who said anything about longevity.

Helotaxi, werd man! I came in here to post what you did. Let these brain washed fools continue to think their equipment is superior to JL's, because that's honestly what they think. In actuality the JL may fit some people's needs better than other's, and vice versa.

Being a forum lemming is just as lame as running what everyone else is running. It's funny everyone around your towns run JL, perhaps that says something about the general nature of their equipment...it's good stuff!

I'll stick to what I feel sounds good and not jump on the same forum bandwagons as everyone else.

On top of that, JL has nothing to prove. Thanks.
