It's over *their* price, not really overpriced. If it were truly overpriced, it wouldn't sell and that isn't the case now is it?
Most of the people that I've seen going on and on about how bad JL is used their product in a manner other than it was intended and were dissatisfied with the results. Rather than understanding that they made the mistake ('cause everyone is so used to this liberal "it's not your fault" BS), they blame JL for charging too much for a product that doesn't perform in a manner in which it was never intended to.
The analogy I like is calling a Bentley Continental overpriced because it isn't as good off-road as a Jeep Wrangler. No one would dream of making that comparison, but they make what amounts to the same statement about JL products all the time.
The honest facts are that you can get louder than any JL sub for less money. Period. JL wasn't meant for SPL, so what does that prove? It doesn't do what it wasn't meant to, mission accomplished!
