New setup help

Hi I am after some help with setting a new system. I have a nissan wagon and relpacing the hu and speakers. I am on a budget of about $500US to start with but could go up a little. My plan so far is to get the following with the .

-Alpine 9807 HU, for the mp3 capability

-Components for front

-amp

then get a sub and an amp later on.

The hu has 23RMS which I believe is not too good for components. Could I run the tweeters off the head unit and the mids off a 2 ch amp or do I need a 4ch amp for the whole lot.

What type of RMS wattage should I be looking for in decent components and what type of amp would you recommend. Any brand suggestions. What else do I need, wires, crossovers etc.

For my budget am I dreaming or am I on the right track for a solid system?

cdt 6.5 cl-61 components are on sale still i think at thezeb.com for $149. you can get a us acoustics 4065 (which is what i use to power my cl-51's and they sound great) or you can go with 4085 which is 85 watts rms x 4 for at the absolute most $180. and then throw in the alpine 9807. the components will run off 2 channels on the amp. you wire them to the crossover that comes with the comps. and there are 4 outputs for the midrange and tweeters. for the other 2 channels you can get some rear fill speakers maybe? (cdt cl-6x $40) or some tweeters up front? or do you have speakers in the dash?
